Neuro Review Recap

Posted by admin On April - 20 - 2009

The Neuro Review in March was a great success.  Information presented included brain anatomy, neuro assessments, strokes, seizures, brain tumors, neurodegenerative disorders, and much more.  Special thanks first to Cindy Burns for coordinating the event and being so detailed and dedicated in coordinating a useful and informative event.  Secondly, we would like to thank all of our speakers that volunteered their time to helping us expand our knowledge.  They include: Doug Kennemore, MD; Shannon Sternburg MSN, CNRN; Valerie Johnson BSN, RN; John Absher MD; Timothy McHenry MD; Tamara Fatianov, MD; Chris Troup, MD, Stephen Gardner, MD; and Doug McCormick MSN, FNP-BC.

Why exactly did we have a neuro review?  Well, besides the obvious reason to gain more knowledge in the field of neuroscience, the review materials also covered the main concepts in the CNRN exam.  I have included some information about the CNRN exam for you to lean more.  Here is an article on understanding the CNRN exam.  You can also download the CNRN Handbook 09.  If you have questions or need more information you can go to the AANN website to get more information.
